Realms Aligned - Minor Update #3


Version 0.0.3 of Realms Aligned - Changes:

Balance Changes:

  • Cascade matches now deal 50% less damage by default.

Gameplay Changes:

  • Added floating combat text - now, each time damage is inflicted, text containing the amount of damage will appear next to them and float upwards before disappearing. If the hit was critical, there will be an exclamation mark next to the amount. Color of the text matches the colors of the gems being destroyed.

Visual Changes:

  • Added in more explosion colors.
  • Colors of both the gem explosions and the floating combat text better match the color of the corresponding gems.

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed a bug where player could pick an item before seeing it via repeated fast clicking on a screen.
  • Fixed a bug where game would break due to repeated fast clicking on a screen while picking the items.
  • Fixed a bug where player could temporarily keep a modal window from rolling up (like, for example, the "How To Play" window) by repeated fast clicks its "Continue" Button.
  • Fixed a bug where player could press any of the UI buttons while the board's state was changing.
  • Fixed a bug where player could stop themselves from winning or losing by quitting the game when any of the player's health reaches zero but before any of the player's turn is over.
  • Fixed a bug where gem shuffling mechanism had a tendency to group gems of one color near each other.
  • Fixed a bug where buttons would react to player hovering over them with their mouse when they shouldn't be interactable with.
  • Fixed a bug where gem explosion animation wouldn't play when multiple horizontal matches were happening in the same place.
